A. Sometimes due to life choices, an adult with all sorts of talent and music training may stop singing for a while. That might be due to family, or fear, or perfectionism, or just not getting enough good luck at the right time. But because the foundation is there, one can pick it up again and get a really good sound together, and probably have a more emotional performance from all that life experience. I won’t fool you, it is just a little harder to generate contacts to get your foot in the door. But it can be done. Start practicing again.  I say, if you’ve got to do it, then just do it. Here are a couple exercises that will help you to develop your pitch. If you are anything like me and have heard people sing off pitch you know how bad it can sound. So check out these tips that will……
Certainly, when you exercise, run, or play sports, a healthy warm up is a good way to prepare, improve your performance, and prevent injury to yourself. The same holds true when you use your voice. A short vocal warm up improves the quality of the sounds you make and helps prevent vocal injury, keeping you in good voice and making your voice production feel better. Many people use warm ups everyday. You should use vocal warm ups before vocally intensive activities like public speaking or singing, classroom teaching, or exuberant social events.
Learn to “cover the voice” for a fuller sound. Resonant, rounded sound is formed by opening the throat and by limiting the nasality. This is called “covering the voice.” Be careful, however. If you cover it too much, it may become to airy and mushy sounding.
Locate your diaphragm below your chest and above your belly – buried behind muscle, but detectable when you notice your chest expanding as you inhale. The goal is to direct all of your inhaled air into your balloon-like diaphragm – not your shoulders.
A.This diagnosis is best determined by a joint team of a medical doctor (an E.N.T. Ear Nose Throat Specialist) plus a voice teacher in that order. If nothing is wrong either place, you may have to trim your performance and practice schedules.
A. Well here’s a common scenario; you might perform like crazy as a kid, not take voice lessons, and do fine until you hit your late teens or early twenties, when you discover you just can’t do as much as you ‘d like to. A child choir-singer can become a professional artist if they have good training between 18-25, the College years.
There’s a lot to remember as you’re learning to sing, but once you’ve mastered a few simple techniques, you’ll notice your voice getting stronger and better each day. Let’s review 10 things you need to know to become the best singer you can be!
Hi, I’ve been trying for a really long time to make my voice stronger and louder. I can sing high notes and low notes but really softly. If you listen to Get it Right from Glee sung by Lea Michelle she has such a strong voice with a lot of emotion. Do you have any suggestions on how to maybe get closer to that point? Obviously I’m not going to sound exactly like her but I would like to get better. I have had a huge dream of becoming a singer and right now I don’t know how to even achieve that goal.
HI Gary, Sounds like you might be manipulating your voice to sound like Toby or Trace and that you’re not really in control of your voice? I would highly recommend training to strengthen your voice and develop consistency! If you can’t afford a vocal coach right now – start here with these exercises. https://www.caricole.com/singersgift – they have helped thousands of artists with their voices. Hope that helps! Good luck!
The next thing with pitch is using the piano or using an instrument as a guide, which is really helpful. And the third thing is to sing a cappella a lot. But here’s the thing with that, if you’re going to sing A cappella, I’d like you to find what key the song is in and use an iPhone app or something, a piano app, to actually hit the note first for you, so that you are in the right key, if you are going to sing A cappella. And that’s a trick for singing a cappella songs in general. If you are going to go for an audition, you want to make sure that you don’t come in on the wrong note or in the wrong key, and then all of a sudden you are singing way higher than you need to. You want to be in the right key.
You will suck if this is the attitude u give it. In order to have good vocals you also need to trust yourself!….. Close your eyes, and sing whatever comes….. twist the lyrics of already known songs, and use your current feelings. I bet youre trying to imitate other singers voices. Which is where youll sound like a mule cause every person has a different voice.
You’ve probably heard that honey/lemon/and hot water are helpful if you have mucous in your throat. But remember that lemon is drying so don’t overdo it. I prefer gargling, here’s the best way: If your throat feels gunky and/or irritated: mix 1/4 teaspoon baking soda + one cup warm water. Take a small amount of fluid in your mouth and gargle at a high pitch-this causes your vocal cords to contract and rise closer to where you are actually gargling (your epiglottis will prevent the fluid from actually reaching your vocal cords). Spit and repeat several times.
According to a couple of websites, the best way to learn how to sing is with a vocal teacher, a recorder, and practice. But let’s say I don’t have the means to get a vocal teacher right now. What other resources are available to me that I can use to sound better?
For the next 20 minutes, study a song to learn the melody and rhythm. While memorizing the lyrics, work on your diction, pronunciation, and vocal tone. And finally, for the last 20 minutes you can practice vocal techniques including ear training, harmony, and sight reading.
Cool to know it’s been helpful for actors as well! Some of the best voices I have heard in my life were people I met who studied acting, before that I never really gave a second thought to how voice development is definitely also so important for acting and not just for musicians.
High notes require breath control. Try taking a bigger breath down into your diaphragm before you sing a higher note. Keep your chest lifted and your don’t let your chin reach up – keep it neutral. Flex your pectorals slightly and try to keep the back of your mouth open (make a space at the back of your mouth) Then use my they will help open up your voice and improve your breath control and strengthen your high notes!

When I came across Aaron Anastasi’s online singing course, I was SCEPTICAL about how efficient this program was going to be. After all, I worked with several teachers to improve my skills, and yet I WASN’T able to hit high notes or stay on pitch.
Hi, My name is Stephen Cook. I am a 57 year old guitarist and guitar instructor with over 47 years playing and instructing experience. I learned to play by watching other guitarists, listening to record albums, and studying guitar instruction books. I love to teach all age students. I teach all the guitar basics including: how to hold the guitar, tuning, the finger numbers, string numbers and names, the fret board, open chords, barre chords, and more. I not only teach the lesson, but also provide printed lesson material for the student to take home and practice on in between lessons. I am al

Then I’ll do the same but with the record button pressed. Again, I keep rewinding (and erasing the recording) until I’m reasonably happy. By this time, I may still not be able to sing the song very well but I’ll certainly have learnt a whole lot about how to sing it.
The singing program is very fitting for various types of singers, beginners and professionals alike. It has also gained some widespread popularity on the internet. Learning the whole course may take some time, but as you finish the course, the fruits of your labor will be very rewarding.
I currently work professionally as an actor, singer, and TV and radio host. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in film, TV, theater, musical theater, hosting, commercials, improv, and voice-overs. I am also a vocally trained mezzo-soprano. Because I am still a working artist, I can not only teach you craft
In my case, I felt as if I could join any singing competition or perform in a live show without fearing that my voice will crack, or I will not hit the right notes. I felt like I am a great singer. In module 8, you will also learn a few more things about

However, the title “vocal coach” is sometimes used by teachers of the speaking voice for public speaking and acting. They rarely teach singing. The least confusing name is “speech and dialect coach”. A dialect coach teaches accents to actors.
Another scenario is the young stage star with phenomenal presence. Going on raw talent, he stars in every High School musical, she tears down the house at summer rodeos, she gets booked on Broadway, he signs a record deal. The demand of these careers guarantees vocal blow out. The Early Nova needs training to go beyond the “natural talent” level and shift to the “self knowledge” level. Ultimately, training is about self mastery. Every natural talent is going to get backed into a corner eventually and need lessons some time. If they don’t tell you they have a voice teacher on their website, trust me… that’s just posing and PR.
Assuming that you are new to Aaron’s program, I’ll have to explain everything from scratch – starting right with what is included with this program, and how it will help you add quality to your voice when singing.

Hey peepoles, I am 11 yrs. old and am going to try out for the talent show tomorrow so I looked up how to make my voice sound better and this is what I found. I actually, believe it or nah, have a really great tip on how to make your voice sound better. Ok, this is really old but works really amazing, and you don’t have to go anywhere to do this.(Unless you don’t have salt then GO FORREST GO!! BUY SOME SALT!!! XD) Ok, so simple my 1 yr. old sis did it. All you have to do is get some water, prehebly hot to make the next step easier. Then you add some salt, however much desired, and mix continually. Then, after you finish and then salt water is all mixed up u just gargle it ( WHATEVER YOU DO DONT SWALLOW!!!!! IT CAN MESS UP YOUR BODIES BALANCE OF SALT!!!! IF U DRINK IT THEN IT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS OFF BALANCE SALT LEVELS AND U MAY HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITSAL!!) But, do not worry if you swallowed a little bit. JUST DONT SWALLOW PURPOSLLY!!!! Well, that’s all, bye peeps. See ya next time!!
When selecting the person who will help you achieve greatness and eventually get into a program or school of your dreams, look for someone who has managed to work as a Singer or Vocalist of some kind before.
