I have a range from eb2 to g6 but i really want to sing from f4 to b4. I dont know how to release tension and I really want some tip. My singing voice went wrong when I was 15, 5 years ago. Please can you give me one good tip.

Basically, you need to record yourself and practice often. If your like me, you will hate the sound of your own voice at first. Don’t worry, you will get better. Most importantly, don’t hurt yourself. If you find a teacher that claims singing is “athletic”, find a new teacher.

Staying away from caffeine, smoke, and alcohol. Those three substances can damage your voice. If you want to sing well, you have to avoid at least going overboard – drinking too much coffee, chain smoking, and taking in a lot of alcoholic beverages.
How does one know what to look for in a Vocal Coach? What separates someone who knows what they are doing and is a perfect fit for you from someone who is a total fraud? It’s tough to choose and there’s a lot that will go into your final decision (and it’s a decision you’ll likely need to make a few times as you advance in your talents, move to go to college or find work in another city), but here are four things you should absolutely look for in a Vocal Coach, especially in the beginning.
In your voice lessons, you will learn how to warm up, extend your range and strengthen you vocal cords just like professional singers. You will work on specific songs in order to perfect your singing, and most students will hear improvement in just a couple weeks.
Practice daily. Every day, practice your breathing exercises, warm-up routine, and recorded singing. Listen for parts that you don’t hit with your voice and keep chugging. It could take several weeks of practice just to get a single song down pat.
your chest with both hands, then, raise your chest higher than normal. Take a breath in and then exhale, but don’t drop your chest. Sing one note and hold it as long as possible with your chest raised. Press on your chest halfway through the note (press kind of hard and raise your chest to meet the pressure). Relax the back of your neck and keep your jaw open as you’re singing “ahhh.” Imagine the air spinning around in your mouth while keeping your chin tucked down a bit and your chest raised. Keep in mind, overuse of vibrato is not a good thing in contemporary singing (pop, rock, and R&B). At the same time, no vibrato is also not a good thing. So, try ending phrases with straight tone, then into a little bit of vibrato. The bottom line is to do what’s best for you.

With online lessons you can study when you want and where you want. You can read and re-read those singing lessons and concepts until you fully comprehend them. You can also play those videos back and forth as often as necessary and for as long as you want.

Once you get the hang of extending the vowel sound focus on listening to the qualities of it – eg. volume (can you produce loud or soft?); pitch range (can you make the sound high or low?); pitch constancy (can you hold one pitch? Can you visit other pitches in the same breath?)
You can find online exercises for this, especially increasing your upper range by learning the “mixed voice” register. However, it’s easy to strain your voice if you don’t know how to use your muscles properly. It’s best to ask a vocal coach for guidance, or to learn the amazing things you can do with your current range.
Voice students are a bit different in that I don’t use a specific method to instruct. I have many books that I draw from when teaching voice due to the unique nature of the individual. Depending on the style of music, from classical to jazz/pop, I have music that will teach proper breath support, vowel placement and tone.
It’s almost like asking if you can stay fit, or better yet, increase muscle tone, without exercise. The voice box is made up, primarily, of muscle, so, in order to keep it in shape the vocal instrument needs……
Every singer has a range of notes their voice is physically capable of producing. There are advanced techniques and long-term training which can extend this, but as a beginner you want to make sure you stay comfortable in your “easy” range. As soon as you start stretching your voice too high or too low your pitching will suffer (and so will your listeners!)
A. Do you brush your teeth? I mean really, it just matters how good you want to appear, not how much money you get for it. If lessons make you sound good, and singing makes you feel good and makes the people that love to hear you happy, put it in your life. This can be satisfying enough, and for many is more satisfying than the headache of a struggling career.

As I mentioned, in the beginning stages, before you’ve enrolled in a full-time singing or music college degree program, you shouldn’t have to spend too much of your hard-earned cash on vocal coaching. You’ll end up paying for exactly that once you are accepted into a university. If you have unlimited resources, go with a super expensive Teacher who has the prestige of once topping the charts, but if you’re not in the one percent and you need to watch where your pennies go (especially since you’ll likely be spending them later on anyway), it’s fine to look for someone who fits your limited budget.

I finished the Superior Singing Method course two years ago, in early 2015, and it was really the kickstart to my singing. It did not only promise, but also delivered a tremendous improvement in my singing and made me confident, for the first time in my life, to sing in front of other people when I play music. If you notice the keys on the piano, note that the pitch “do” occurs more than once along the keys. The entire range of notes from one “do” to the next is called an octave. As your vocal range expands, you may achieve the ability to sing several octaves. To practice this, a piano would be very helpful. Press the key of the note “do” on the piano. This may be anywhere, depending on the type of instrument you have, such as a soprano, alto, or mezzo. Note that your voice will be traveling in an uprising fashion, so choose the spot accordingly. Start from a pitch you can comfortably sing. If you are an alto, it is best to start at a spot further down on the piano. Likewise, if you sing soprano, start higher. Mezzos should find a spot somewhere in between, midway throughout the keys. If you do not know your vocal type, make an estimate and find what works for you. Press the key “do” on the piano, and match pitch with your voice. Hold out this note as long as you comfortably can. Then, press the “do” one octave higher than the one you were singing and match pitch, holding it out accordingly. If you find this is too high for you, either start lower from the beginning, or you could try half of an octave by going from “do” to “so” instead. After singing the higher note “do” match pitch with the lower one again and sing it out to a comfortable extent. If you are a beginner, this may be enough octave training for the day. If you choose to persevere and move on, try singing out the note “re” as long as you comfortably can, then matching pitch with the higher note “re” and holding it as long as you may. Then hold out the lower note “re” once more. Try this practice with the notes “mi, fa,, so, la, ti, etc. depending on the stretch of your range. This exercise is intended to lengthen and strengthen the range of your vocal chords. Please be cautioned of straining your instrument.

Drink water. If you think drinking water is only good for physical fitness, newsflash: it’s great for vocal health, too. Load up on the H20 to keep your vocal folds hydrated, healthy, and ready to go. Breath down low and keep good posture.
As @luserdroog said in the comments, it would be best if you could get at least a couple lessons. Otherwise you risk learning bad habits with the physical aspects (that can’t be taught well except in person) that you’ll have to un-learn later.
My teaching approach: I tailor my lessons to fit the students goals. Beginner students want to learn songs, not theory. So I get the student playing /singing before I focus on scales and theory. I want to teach the student what they want to learn as well as giving them the skills to be a good musician/vocalist. I also determine what your learning style is, so that I can effectively teach you in the way you learn best. Thank you for the information. Reseantly my voice started cracking and i couldnt reach my usual high notes so i didnt attend choir ( one of the leads ). I tried this and its pretty helpful, just not super sure if my proper voices will come back. ????

Singing is a much more complex art than it first appears. It is near impossible to learn proficiently when just singing along to songs or looking at online resources. Private singing lessons will give you total attention from your vocal coach, in order for you to improve your voice quickly and effectively. Your voice teacher will also be able to see any weak points that a trainer of a choir or group class may not notice. This way, you will avoid developing bad habits that might impede your progress.
Diction is how well you pronounce words while singing. It’s also known as “articulation.” In most contemporary music — especially pop, country, and rap — the lyrics are an integral part of the song. So as a singer, it’s your job to share those lyrics with your audience.
