Many people are gifted with natural singing ability, but whether you want to become a professional entertainer, a casual performer, or sing for fun, it is important to learn how protect your best asset and to increase it’s potential.
In my voice lessons, students will learn proper technique in producing sound with their vocal chords. We focus on breathing and tone. Lessons will also incorporate ear-training and vocal exercises to expand vocal range.
Now it’s important to note that there are two different types of vocal exercises, but I’ll say more about that in a minute. First, I want to talk about the actual knowledge part of singing, which is important because with the right knowledge you can increase your singing ability dramatically and almost immediately, once you apply that knowledge. Of course you can improve your singing with vocal exercises, especially when doing both types, and I fully recommend doing them. But those take time and work, whereas the knowledge part is applicable right now.
Even professional singers have to practice everyday to maintain their level. Singing is an exercise, and to do it well requires practice. If you want to go run a race, for example, you train beforehand. You run daily, stretch, read about running, and immerse yourself into a sort of running world. If you do run a race without training, you might simply run out of breath and have to walk. You might even have to stop altogether, or worse yet, you might get injured. In the same way, you shouldn’t attempt to sing at a ‘trained’ level until you have practiced, reflected, stretched, and actually sung quite a bit on your own or with a tutor or instructor. Only in this way will you excel.

I take a physiological approach to singing… after all it is a physical endeavor.  The voice or larynx, despite all its complexities, is just another set of muscles that can be trained to reach its fullest potential.  The method that I teach, “The Franco/Italian Bel Canto Method” has been taught in Europe for more than 200 years and has produced the world’s greatest classical singers.  Now having said that let me assure you studying this method doesn’t mean that you have to become a classical singer.  The techniques used are designed to strengthen and improve the quality o
What are you saying? Why are you singing it that way? Is that how you want to sound? Is that who you want to be?… etc. I’m not a vocal coach for teaching you technique – I work more on helping you develop a style for recording studio.
So finally, after a bunch of frustration and getting nowhere. I decided to bite the bullet and try out some of the paid online singing lessons. I could go after the super expensive options like Berklee’s full vocal course – I just couldn’t afford it. So I set out and tried the cheaper lessons. To my surprise – there were some REALLY GOOD options, right up my alley.

Arms – When you aren’t gesturing, you should be relaxing your arms at your sides. Don’t make fists, clasp your hands, or fidget with your clothes. This adds tension and makes you look (and feel) nervous.
But doing a regular regimen of the right vocal warm ups and the right strengthening exercises on a regular basis, along with applying the knowledge part, the tips and tricks of singing, you will move quickly toward being the singer that you really want to be. My teaching approach: I tailor my lessons to fit the students goals. Beginner students want to learn songs, not theory. So I get the student playing /singing before I focus on scales and theory. I want to teach the student what they want to learn as well as giving them the skills to be a good musician/vocalist. I also determine what your learning style is, so that I can effectively teach you in the way you learn best. I have over 14 years teaching experience in guitar and voice, and I teach songwriting and ukulele as well.  I’ve been performing locally and internationally for over 7 years
Theory and Ear-training I feel are very important to learn when trying to understand music. It just gives you a basic mathematical way of understanding how music works. It can be very frustrating to learn and takes some time to sink in so if you don’t want to learn it then that is great. Ear-training is cool because when you start to understand it you can actually hear music and not just listen to it. You can listen to a chord progression on the radio and go home and play it and also improvise over it.

There is a lot that needs to be learned before a single sound comes out of your mouth. With certain tips you can increase your ability to sing before doing a single vocal scale. The second, of this two-fold learning process, is, of course, vocal exercises. And vocal exercises are broken in to two separate types, which is a very important distinction to know, so that you don’t spend all your time on one type and never really have the breakthrough in your voice that you really want. So, in this article you will discover…

Many people have difficulty singing in tune at all, while others can start off okay but then can’t hold a tune or gradually start hitting wrong notes or wandering out of key. Although we would say that these people have a bad voice or are fundamentally a bad singer, this isn’t a permanent trait – it’s simply that they haven’t yet learned to sing in tune.
In practice this means that if someone played two different notes on a piano, someone with true tone deafness would be unable to tell whether it was the same note or two different notes. Naturally, if that person tried to sing they would have real difficulty because their ears and brain wouldn’t have a clue if they were singing the right notes or not.
We highly recommend this product if you’re looking for something extremely affordable that still packs a huge punch. To see if this program will work best for you, consult our in-depth review of SSM before taking any other course.
