Learning this skill is about connecting up your ears (which we just proved are up to the task in step one) with your voice. There’s a sort of “feedback loop” that you need to practice, where you sing a note, hear whether that note is at the right target pitch or not, and then adjust accordingly.
So now, it’s your turn. I’d like to hear anything you have in mind about these courses. Have you had any experiences with online singing lessons? Which of them helped you improve your singing voice? Share your thoughts, I am open for discussions and comments. I would love to hear about them!
I teach group lessons for newborn to 9 1/2 yrs: newborn – 18 mos, 18 mos – 3 1/2 yrs, 3 1/2 – 4 1/2 yrs, 4 1/2 – 61/2 and group Piano lessons for ages 6 1/2 to 9 1/2. I have taught young children for 25 years at 1st Methodist Church in Grapevine. We sing, dance, and play instruments. We work on duple and triple meter as well as learn solfeggio.  It’s fun and educational!
Billy is a great teacher with a wealth of music knowledge and experience! Our 9-year old son is taking guitar lessons with him. Billy has met him right where he’s at, and has made the lessons fun and engaging for my boy. GREAT WORK, BILLY!!!
It may come as a surprise, but the answer is: yes. Anyone can improve their voice with online singing classes. Many people falsely label themselves as “tone deaf,” when in fact this lifelong condition only affects about four percent of the population.
The best part about singing is that anyone can get started without any prior knowledge of music theory, structure, or history. But if you really want to set yourself apart from the crowd, learning music theory will help you become a more knowledgeable, well-rounded musician.
Torso – Your torso contains your lungs, along with the many muscles that help them work. For optimal breathing, balance your torso on top of your hips and allow it to feel large and open. Don’t try to flatten your spine; it is naturally curved and flattening it will hinder your breathing.

ectations I had for a music teacher. He is effective and can tackle individual challenges from unique perspectives that will help you overcome you hindrances all while being very personable. I received Sheet music, training CD’s and training documentation. Additionally I received recordings of each lesson which I you will not believe how helpful that is, it’s like have the lesson all over again.
I have been teaching professionally for 5 years and privately for 10 years, specializing in beginner/intermediate/advanced musicians. I teach voice, violin, guitar, and trumpet. I specificaly teach mariachi music but I also have knowledge of other genres of music. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be playing/singing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and more. I believe learining music should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time!
However, the best part of this course is the fact that you have access to real-life support. You can ask Aaron questions about anything – something you’re having trouble with, clarification on a certain concept, or whatever. It is the next best thing to actually having a vocal coach. I seriously recommend this product. You can read our full SSM review here first.
Jeannie Deva has taken her entire knowledge of teaching people how to sing and poured it into a comprehensive video library that includes hundreds of vocal lessons. Subscribers get unlimited access to all online vocal lessons, plus a community of singers from all over the world.
The big challenge for most new singers is handling leaps in pitch. Moving between notes which are close together is relatively easy, but when there’s a leap (e.g. think of the first two notes of “Somewhere over the rainbow”, “Some – where”) it can become quite hard to accurately hit that second note dead-on.
But I want to hear from you too. What are your favorite lessons? Do you have any favorites that have helped you to become a better singer? I’d love to hear about it so feel free to leave me a comment below and share your thoughts!
You can also check your pitch accuracy using free audio recording and analysis software such as Audacity. You can read a full tutorial on recording and analysing your singing pitch but the basic process is:
Just bear in mind that HearAndPlay is very much Gospel & R&B/Soul oriented – this fact sometimes throws some people off. However, this does not mean that they only teach Gospel songs, so don’t run away scared now.
Hello, my name is Ben and GUITAR IS MY BUSINESS…AND MY BUSINESS IS GOOD so please consider me. I’ve been playing guitar for over 18 years and have been in playing bands for 12 years. Recently after the band broke up, I decided to further my education and went to Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. There I was taught by the best guitar players in the world. Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert, Scott Henderson, Tommy Emmanuel and Johnny Hiland were just a few of the great players who gave clinics there. I received a degree in Guitar Performance and the knowledge I received there made me UNDERSTAND the mystery that is the guitar.
I’ve spent thousands of dollars on singing education in the last 10 years. Both for singing lessons online and tutors. That investment led me into a singing career where I could hit the high notes every time, have a strong voice where I could sing on stage for hours, 7 nights a week.
Maureen received her Master of Music from the University of Maryland 2017 with an emphasis in Opera Performance. Her teaching style is tailored for each individual student, in that what works for one student won’t necessarily work for the next (particularly in regards to singers), and strives towards finding the optimal method that encourages and helps students to improve. She firmly believes that anyone who is willing to dedicate the time and effort to learning a new instrument is capable of doing so, and looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals.
And don’t be discouraged. The amount of time you need to spend developing your voice, and the amount of information you need to know to get started, is probably much less than you think. Of course this kind of thing doesn’t happen overnight, but if you really want to make it happen it will be there before you know it!
Another important note about solfa is that it’s the key to sight-singing music easily. This means that you can confidently go along to a choir or other singing group and know that if they hand you sheet music you don’t need to panic! You can use solfa to know what notes to sing and your newfound vocal control to know you’ll be singing them right.

4 Pillars Of Singing is intended to help singers of all levels, but even as a pro, I learned more than enough to make it worth the price tag. A Great choice for singing lessons online – Thanks Robert!

Teaching singing lessons in Dallas has been a wonderful experience. With historic areas and venues like Deep Ellum and the Meyerson Theatre nearby, as well as the eclectic and quaint Granada Theatre, and charming live music venues such as St. Martin’s Wine Bistro and Arthur’s Restaurant, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is overflowing with creativity and original talent. Not far away, the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth is home to the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and the city is home to the wonderful man, founder and superstar himself, Van Cliburn. Other noteworthy musicians who launched their careers from the rich recesses of Deep Ellum’s unique culture scene include Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, Huddie “Leadbelly” Ledbetter and Bessie Smith.
My musical experience began at the age of 4 on the piano. I have been classically trained for most of my life. I have performed on soundtracks, played with bands (in genres from Jazz to Metal), and accompanied choirs. I have taught intro to piano and music theory since the age of 15. Currently, I teach throughout the Dallas metroplex, play in several bands, as well as write music for Television and Film.
If you have never had any vocal training, this is a great place to start to get a thorough grounding in all the techniques you’ll need to succeed. The reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5 is because I find the teacher, Aaron, to be dull to listen to. He doesn’t inspire success like Melanie Alexander or Roger Love do. Plus Singing Academy will go beyond the basics (that’s why it costs more than Superior Singing)
I have extensive training and experience both as a professional musician and educator. But I also have a collection of skills accumulated over the years that revolve around the necessities of self-employment.  In music, I am trained to teach at all age and skill levels. My experience as a music instructor comes from years of offering private lessons as well as teaching for Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi and Middle Tennessee State University. I have a BM and MM from the University of North Texas. My practical experience can be found in years of live performance, a nationally di
Their method of teaching is incomparable to others. They had broken down the basic concepts into clear and very comprehensive teaching styles, avoiding confusing technical terms that may be difficult to understand.
