The singing program is very fitting for various types of singers, beginners and professionals alike. It has also gained some widespread popularity on the internet. Learning the whole course may take some time, but as you finish the course, the fruits of your labor will be very rewarding.
Now, back to your first question: how much are singing lessons? Average prices for 30-minute lessons can range from as low as $10 to as much as $75. What’s with the large range? Several factors come into play. Ask yourself the following questions as you compare prices:
As one of the top vocal coaches in the country, I frequently hear: “What are your top vocal tips for singers?” Well, I could rattle off a long list, and yammer on for hours. (I’m a nerd’s nerd when it comes to vocals…) And I have a long list of favorite tricks up my sleeve from more than 20 years of coaching singers… But I love a challenge – so I pretended that I had only 5 minutes to tell you my top ones and so I wracked my brain to come up with the Top 5.
When I came across Aaron Anastasi’s online singing course, I was SCEPTICAL about how efficient this program was going to be. After all, I worked with several teachers to improve my skills, and yet I WASN’T able to hit high notes or stay on pitch.
In the Superior Singing Method system you will learn a variety of techniques and tips to not only identify your unique tone but also how to get the best tone out of your voice. You will discover how to sing with full, rich, and smooth tone that is uniquely your own.
Deborah is an outstanding teacher with a passionate interest in the improvement and success of her students. Since working with Deborah, my voice is stronger, clearer, more flexible. I have greater control over my voice, and a much broader range..I have Deborah to thank for two musical theatre jobs this summer. I plan to continue taking singing lessons from Deborah for many years to come.
Another approach is to join a community choir. While some choirs require auditions, others do not (particularly church choirs, but not exclusively religious). The choirs I’ve sung in have included work on technique, not just learning the repertoire.
The next time you sing an ascending vocal scale or you sing a high note, try thinking of the way an elevator works. A heavy weight is attached to a pulley and as the weight pulls down, the elevator actually goes up to the higher floors. So, the highest floor is reached when the weight is the heaviest. Similarly, you should think down for your high notes or think of adding weight (resistance) to your highest notes.
SSM wasn’t the first vocal training I bought or tried, but it was definitely one of my favorites. My voice improved so much while I was doing the exercises that I eventually stopped using it (bad idea).
It’s always a good idea to go through the program more than once. You’ll definitely need to go through the vocal exercises a few times until you have them all memorized. But I find this course have all the material to practice and become a good singer,
Not all singing lessons are created equal. If you have a specific singing style you would like to learn, look for it on your potential teachers’ lists of specialties. Examples include Broadway, country, gospel, classical, jazz, opera, choir, music performance, stage performance, musical theater, and ear training.
Note that if you feel any type if physical strain or especially to the extent of pain, stop practicing. This may be due to practicing these techniques in an incorrect fashion. Seek to speak with a vocal trainer, choral director, or a specialist of the vocal folds. They will be able to show you what is being done incorrectly, and offer insight for self-improvement.
We have an app called SingTrue for iPhone and iPad which is specially designed to help people learn to match pitch with their voice. It automatically chooses notes in your comfortable singing range and gives you a range of simple fun exercises to practice matching pitch. And instead of the momentary display of the digital tuner, you can actually see a graph of how your vocal pitch varied over time which gives you a clearer idea of how your pitch skills are developing.
First of all, Aaron’s program covers all key aspects of singing, from singing higher notes to gaining more power and vocal agility, improving your pitch, increasing your range, and also singing for longer periods without getting fatigued.
Singing can be done alone, but it’s more fun with others! Whether you’re in a band, choir, or just interested in creating beautiful harmonies with other vocalists, this is the perfect class for you. I finished the Superior Singing Method course two years ago, in early 2015, and it was really the kickstart to my singing. It did not only promise, but also delivered a tremendous improvement in my singing and made me confident, for the first time in my life, to sing in front of other people when I play music. And I wish I can let you feel the feelings you get when you get those “wow, you got a great voice!” sincere comments from people around – but you’ll have to try it for yourself and see…
If you are quite envious of those songwriters who are able to make a strong impression or a kind of popularity that could last a lifetime, you have come to the right page. I will give you ideas, even a step-by-step guide on how to write a love song. I’m not talking about just any other love song but a love song that couples from all over the world could find attractive to use as their anthem. Continue Reading »
Another good technique to find your vocal range is by singing different songs from different genres. There are many different styles to singing and you will only be able to find which songs your voice are comfortable with and which songs your voices do not clearly reach is by practicing consistently. You can record your songs so you can judge how well you are singing which kind of songs.
If your son or daughter loves to sing, a private teacher can teach him or her how to sing correctly and stay excited about learning! Here, St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares 10 ways you can support your child throughout the journey… Kids are simply made to sing. In most of the lessons that I teach, no matter the student’s age, I inevitably find myself teaching her how to be a kid in some way. Shaking out tense muscles, dancing to the beat, making animal sounds, keeping
After much research, I have to say that the Superior Singing Method is an effective program that will bring out your hidden vocal talent. The lessons are very easy to follow and as many reviewers have noted, they’re much more comprehensive than traditional singing classes. It’s not just effective but affordable too, so I have to give it my full recommendation.
The second module discusses everything about managing your breath. You will learn how to control your breathing properly during week 2. It contains a variety of breathing techniques and exercises, which are taught by Aaron. Since there will be something added or taken away for each day of this week, it is essential that you go through every lesson.
Drink water. If you think drinking water is only good for physical fitness, newsflash: it’s great for vocal health, too. Load up on the H20 to keep your vocal folds hydrated, healthy, and ready to go. Breath down low and keep good posture.
First, read through any instructions and go over the videos. The things you will learn in the first lessons will help you through the next lessons. On the sixth day, you will be practicing all the exercises and techniques you learned in the previous five lessons.
I know what you’re thinking. It may be difficult to perform the vocal exercises without somebody there to help you. The uncertainty could even interfere with your learning. Surprisingly, doing the exercises on your own is not a hindrance at all.
I’d been thinking about voice lessons for years, and finally started about a year ago. My wife found an instructor through the NATS website (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and I definitely recommend finding an instructor who has some kind of real, formal training, and who also has background in the style of music you’re interested in (most formally trained teachers seem to have a background in classical, chorale, and musical theatre, though some also cover pop, jazz, rock and even country). I started out with 30 minute lessons each week for $35 each, and eventually moved to 45 minute lessons at $50 each. Each class covers warm ups and vocal exercises for about 10-15 minutes, then reviewing the current songs with feedback, and occasionally generally discussing technique and style. The instructor also provides sheet music, mp3 recordings of the lessons, and mp3s of the accompaniments.
Raper: The crime of using force or threat of force to compel a person to submit to some other sexual penetration. c. Other unlawful sexual intercourse or penetration, as with an unconscious person or person below the age of or incapable of consent.
Practice daily. Every day, practice your breathing exercises, warm-up routine, and recorded singing. Listen for parts that you don’t hit with your voice and keep chugging. It could take several weeks of practice just to get a single song down pat.
+ I felt constant improvement starting from week 2 and I just kept getting better. I am now proud to sing my favorite songs in front of people – which is something I never even dreamt about a few years ago.
Who is Aaron Anastasi? Is that “singing course” any good? Well after purchasing it, we decided to write our OWN honest review here. My name is John Peele and this is Jazz Rendezvous’s Review of The Month…
3 stars because it doesn’t always work… all the sudden my pitch won’t show up on the screen…. that it kind of the whole point. This seems to be because of a sort of crackling that makes it try to decide between a really low pitch or high pitch and it ends up just giving up. I would blame this on the headphones, but they’re from Apple and do very clear audio recordings. Or it just won’t work at all. But normally, the dot will move and twitch between a really low pitch and the pitch I’m actually at
When you internalize it and decide that you set your sights on the goal of learning how to sing, now it’s just a matter of finding the right guide to help you do it. Now, as someone who tried learning how to sing both with a face to face vocal teacher and with an online course – I will give you my honest thoughts about the pros and cons of both.

Aaron Anastasi is the founder of Superior Singing Method. He’s a famous vocal coach (and an actor actually, IMDB) from Los Angeles, California. He has a successful YouTube channel with currently over 5,000,000 views and almost a 100K subscribers.
Hi Reagan…as someone who listens to little else than Christian music…Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Michael W, Third Day and much Bethel Music…I have just successfully auditioned for a local Carols this year, singing Cloverton’s A Christmas Hallelujah – trying to make sure there is some good Christian message amongst the traditional stuff. I’m 55, and this is the first big one for me (5000+ people ) so keep going and good luck. Hoping these tips help…firstname.lastname@example.org br
My vocal teacher strongly encourages me to sing in low register, saying that is where most commercial songs are ‘located’ and from where shout occurs. However, I feel that once I get to C5, I naturally mix and can actually better control my vocals and do a better job of lifting my soft palette, which is, admittedly, more difficult to do in low while going to a higher pitch. So the question is, is it better to avoid mixing and sing in LR as much as possible?

Audio input required and due to microphones / microphone drivers not being standard, there are some devices which the app will not work well. Please inform the developers via email, so we can investigate and make a fix.
@naught101 My criticism isn’t on the contents of the book and I’m not addressing the possibility that it may be wrong, but rather on the presentation of the text (which is archaic and hard to read). Just try and read the text yourself. It’s not good studying to learn from something that’s hard to grok while there are much more suitable books out there written in modern English. That book is a piece of history that IMO is to be enjoyed by experienced musicians who really feel like a tour down history’s past, not something a beginner should learn from. – bobobobo Sep 23 ’12 at 14:28
If you’re quiet, muffled, or sloppy, the message and story of the song can get lost. Moreover, some singers don’t even recognize when they have poor diction. This is where recording yourself while singing, or getting feedback from a voice teacher, can make a huge difference.
Tiago is 100% correct here. You really are better at anything you do when you do it with confidence, I haven’t haven’t sang in a while since I lost my guitar but I use to have half@sssd confidence in it. I started singing again tonight and was confident anything is achievable if you set your mind (also had a lot of complements about my ability which helps) and I have been singing better then I ever have before, all day today. When you don’t believe in your abilities you don’t give it your all, the key is believing in yourself completely so can give it everything you have, without sabotaging yourself due to worry that your best isn’t good enough. Your mind is your own best friend and worst enemy.
