Vanido’s exercises are designed in collaboration with vocal coaches and it is based on scientific research. Real-time visual pitch detection has been shown to result in improvement in pitch by 90%, compared to when no such visual feedback is given.

There are many good vocal coaches out there but also many bad ones. Many classically trained vocal coaches will tell you to push you diaphram, which can be harmful to your vocal chords. I had a teacher that would always tell me “Singing is an athletic exercise!”. It’s not, it should be very easy. You should never feel tension.
This bonus module is all about live performance. Overcoming stage fright and performing at your best are some of the things you will learn in this module. Everyone gets the jitters when we are on stage. I have been singing on stage for some years now, and I still get nervous. This module contains different strategies to help you overcome stage fright and shine as you perform live.
As one of the top vocal coaches in the country, I frequently hear: “What are your top vocal tips for singers?” Well, I could rattle off a long list, and yammer on for hours. (I’m a nerd’s nerd when it comes to vocals…) And I have a long list of favorite tricks up my sleeve from more than 20 years of coaching singers… But I love a challenge – so I pretended that I had only 5 minutes to tell you my top ones and so I wracked my brain to come up with the Top 5.
I know an audiobook (100% free) which is called how to sing. You can get this book (text can be downloaded from Gutenberg Project), and you can get some idea and knowledge about singing. Also you might take a look at Music Notation & Terminology.
Some common mistakes to avoid are smiling while singing, under singing, over singing, pushing out too much air, and pushing beyond one’s natural range. These are common causes of damage of the vocal folds. Be cautioned of these.
Thanks, that’s helpful. I have been trying to sing occasionally but I might really be interested in taking a course to speed things up. How long do you believe it takes to really become confident for just singing around with friends on the guitar?
Aside from the exercises and worksheets, the great thing about the training program is that you can get additional advice from real expert vocal coaches. Whether you are stuck with a problem, or you need some enlightenment on difficult subjects, you can ask the staff questions about anything.
Here are a couple exercises that will help you to develop your pitch. If you are anything like me and have heard people sing off pitch you know how bad it can sound. So check out these tips that will……
Many people have difficulty singing in tune at all, while others can start off okay but then can’t hold a tune or gradually start hitting wrong notes or wandering out of key. Although we would say that these people have a bad voice or are fundamentally a bad singer, this isn’t a permanent trait – it’s simply that they haven’t yet learned to sing in tune.
The training and education of vocal coaches varies widely. Many vocal coaches are former or current professional singers. Some vocal coaches have extensive formal training, such as a Bachelor of Music, a Master of Music, a Conservatory diploma, or degrees in related areas such as foreign languages or diplomas in human kinetics, posture techniques, or breathing methods. On the other hand, some vocal coaches may have little formal training, and so they rely on their extensive experience as a performer. While vocal coaches without formal training are mainly found in the popular music styles, they also exist in the Classical milieu.[citation needed] For example, a native German language speaker who moves to the US may begin providing German diction coaching to amateur vocal students, and over several decades, this vocal coach may develop a broad range of on-the-job experience in coaching German-language singing styles such as lieder and Wagnerian opera.
A vocal coach is sometimes responsible for writing and producing vocal arrangements for four-part harmony for backup vocalists or helping to develop counter melodies for a secondary vocalist. Some vocal coaches may also advise singers or bands on lyric-writing for a music production. Some critics allege that in some cases where popular music recordings credit a singer for work as a vocal coach during a recording, this may be a subtle way of acknowledging a ghostwriting role, in which the coach writes lyrics for a singer-songwriter or rapper.
If you notice the keys on the piano, note that the pitch “do” occurs more than once along the keys. The entire range of notes from one “do” to the next is called an octave. As your vocal range expands, you may achieve the ability to sing several octaves. To practice this, a piano would be very helpful. Press the key of the note “do” on the piano. This may be anywhere, depending on the type of instrument you have, such as a soprano, alto, or mezzo. Note that your voice will be traveling in an uprising fashion, so choose the spot accordingly. Start from a pitch you can comfortably sing. If you are an alto, it is best to start at a spot further down on the piano. Likewise, if you sing soprano, start higher. Mezzos should find a spot somewhere in between, midway throughout the keys. If you do not know your vocal type, make an estimate and find what works for you. Press the key “do” on the piano, and match pitch with your voice. Hold out this note as long as you comfortably can. Then, press the “do” one octave higher than the one you were singing and match pitch, holding it out accordingly. If you find this is too high for you, either start lower from the beginning, or you could try half of an octave by going from “do” to “so” instead. After singing the higher note “do” match pitch with the lower one again and sing it out to a comfortable extent. If you are a beginner, this may be enough octave training for the day. If you choose to persevere and move on, try singing out the note “re” as long as you comfortably can, then matching pitch with the higher note “re” and holding it as long as you may. Then hold out the lower note “re” once more. Try this practice with the notes “mi, fa,, so, la, ti, etc. depending on the stretch of your range. This exercise is intended to lengthen and strengthen the range of your vocal chords. Please be cautioned of straining your instrument.
Let’s answer the second question first. Voice lessons are an excellent way to learn proper singing techniques without stressing your vocal cords. You might have a natural talent for singing and think lessons are unnecessary, but there’s only so far you can go on raw talent alone. Singing lessons can teach you how to:
The third module is all about improving your vocal tone. Module 3 will give emphasis on how to use your soft palate the right way. This module will also help you try to eliminate any nasal cavity problems you might have will singing. Since the nose resonates naturally, your nasal cavity affects your vocal range.
Recording studio coaching that takes place in a recording studio with a microphone and multitrack recording equipment, which is operated by an audio engineer. Singing for recordings requires different singing techniques than singing at live shows. To give one example, when a singer is performing at a small coffeehouse gig without a microphone, she does not need to worry about “plosive” consonants (such as the letter “p”); however, when singing in front of a microphone, words with the letter “p” can be overemphasized by the microphone, due to the nature of the way we produce these sounds.
I must say that, after just a couple of weeks of watching Aaron’s comprehensible videos and reading his amazing suggestions, I was able to spot an improvement in how my voice sounded – deeper, clearer, and perfectly confident.
Try singing along to a song that you like with a voice recorder nearby. Make sure the music is quiet and your voice is the real thing that the recorder picks up. After you’re done singing, check if you are singing on key. Also check to see if you are:
Also, Aimee is a teacher during and after the lesson. One of the things I appreciate most about here is that after every lesson she takes the time to prepare a sheet for me to practice, and whenever I pick a song I want to learn for the following week, she does research and preparation on it, so by the time the lesson comes, she has always great pointers and suggestions for me.
If you’ve been looking for vocal training programs on the Internet, I’m pretty sure you have seen and heard of Aaron Anastasi’s Superior Singing Method. There are lots of vocal training programs out there but there’s no question that this is the best known. The question that may be on your mind is whether it’s as good as personal singing lessons.
Aaron Anastasi, the creator of this online singing program has put together a training package that consists of HD video lessons. Every lesson, tip, and vocal exercise is done on HD video so you can follow along, and study over and over.
Howdy! My name is Lee Allen aka Leezurly. I have been involved in music since i was born! both my parents are musicians and they were my favorite teachers. I have performed on many instruments in dozens of ensembles touring several countries over the last 3 decades. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!
Think of practicing singing as you would exercise. Exercising every day improves your coordination and muscular ability. Using your voice every day improves the coordination and muscular abilities involved with breathing, lifting the soft palate, and relaxing the rest of the body.
Practice daily. Every day, practice your breathing exercises, warm-up routine, and recorded singing. Listen for parts that you don’t hit with your voice and keep chugging. It could take several weeks of practice just to get a single song down pat.
If you are interested in the Superior Singing Method you can get it at the official website (the link is at the end of this review). If you order the course now you can get the basic Superior Singing Method for just $97.
SSM wasn’t the first vocal training I bought or tried, but it was definitely one of my favorites. My voice improved so much while I was doing the exercises that I eventually stopped using it (bad idea).

Am trying to figure out my type of singing voice I have. I can sing and inmate other singers voices and even when they singing in auto tune I can do that or make my voice sound like auto tune without the auto tune. Does anyone know about this please tell me I would like to know more about this type of singing voice I have.
In terms of daily diet, nothing special. If you are talking about what to eat before you sing, try to have a lot of water beforehand. It may not be good to load up on food, since you will be using your diaphragm a lot and it could cause your throat to become dry, irritated, or clogged. Also, avoid foods that produce gas, like soda and large meals. It’s awful when you sing something and you have to burp in the middle of it.
+ It’s affordable! At 99$, for the price of just two lessons with my face-to-face New Orleans vocal coach – I got 8 weeks full of daily lessons and exercises that have proven to make me improve way faster.
hey a’s flucky i have a sound cloud with currently 80 followers and would love to callab with you as you can probably already tell by my profile pic i am very easy to work with. even though i am only 15 turning 16 i do have a little experience with this. i am not great with lyrics but everyone seriously says that my rap voice is really nice for a 15 yearold!
I finished the Superior Singing Method course two years ago, in early 2015, and it was really the kickstart to my singing. It did not only promise, but also delivered a tremendous improvement in my singing and made me confident, for the first time in my life, to sing in front of other people when I play music. And I wish I can let you feel the feelings you get when you get those “wow, you got a great voice!” sincere comments from people around – but you’ll have to try it for yourself and see…
