The doctor  will use a “Scope”- a little video camera on the end of a teeny cord- to determine if you have nodules or some type of tissue damage. He/she will also determine if you have an infection or allergy that has made your vocal cords inflamed. (Females with hormonal problems can have their vocal health yo-yo about.) The E.N.T. should check if you have GERD- acid reflux- where stomach acids are burning your vocal cords. Once all medical conditions are ruled out or treated, see a voice teacher who can evaluate if you are straining, if your song keys are wrong, and such. Then take a few months of lessons- 3 should do it,- and reverse any bad habits. You also need a custom warm-up routine to use before performing. Ask your voice teacher to evaluate your live show. The most important thing I learn, though, is how to breathe properly. When David first asks me to take a deep breath, I instinctively puff out my chest while my stomach contracts. “We’re taught to be tense, to hold ourselves in,” he says, before explaining that the proper way to breathe is to relax, take in air deeply as if into your stomach, and then use this to support your voice as you sing. It can feel counter-intuitive, but with a bit of practice I start to get the hang of it.
After I have finished the entire course, I felt like I can sing any song in any note and chord. I had the confidence to take on more songs that are difficult to sing. Thomas specializes in building and polishing voices for multiple genres of music. He studied Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas Music Program. He has performed lead roles and recitals all over the country, as well as throughout Europe in various Opera houses and concert halls. Thomas has also worked as a vocal coach/producer for the independent record label Undaseige Records now known as Bungalow Records/ Universal. He has also worked as a voice instructor with Guitar Center in Philadelphia, PA and Mesquite, TX. He currently teaches out of his home studio in Mesquite.

Things that vocal coaches will always stress are vowels, enunciation, and breath control. You want to have tall vowels when singing. Put your pointer and middle fingers between your front teeth to give you an idea of how wide your mouth should be. Make sure to over-stress your words. The clearer, the better! When breathing, don’t breathe from your lungs, breathe from your diaphragm instead, near your stomach. Pretend you’re sipping in chocolate milk. That’s where you should breathe from.

The third module is all about improving your vocal tone. Module 3 will give emphasis on how to use your soft palate the right way. This module will also help you try to eliminate any nasal cavity problems you might have will singing. Since the nose resonates naturally, your nasal cavity affects your vocal range.
The key to this exercise is to make sure you are listening carefully as you practice. Don’t just rely on the tuner’s display. Try to always hear whether you are too high or too low before checking the display. That way you are gradually developing your own inner tuner so that in future your feedback loop can work directly without the assistance of a digital tuner.
Keep in mind though not to practice for long periods of time. Aim for anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes each day, and stop practicing as soon as you start to feel vocally fatigued, or ideally right before.
This is as true when it comes to business or writing or almost any other field as it is for singing, and it’s important to keep this in mind when looking for a Vocal Coach. Would you rather train with someone who has spent many years exclusively teaching young people how to sing or with someone who was actually a professional Singer for many years and who then transitioned into being a Teacher or Professor? Ideally, your coach would have tons of experience in both roles, but that’s difficult to find and if you have to choose just one, go for the latter.

Hey peepoles, I am 11 yrs. old and am going to try out for the talent show tomorrow so I looked up how to make my voice sound better and this is what I found. I actually, believe it or nah, have a really great tip on how to make your voice sound better. Ok, this is really old but works really amazing, and you don’t have to go anywhere to do this.(Unless you don’t have salt then GO FORREST GO!! BUY SOME SALT!!! XD) Ok, so simple my 1 yr. old sis did it. All you have to do is get some water, prehebly hot to make the next step easier. Then you add some salt, however much desired, and mix continually. Then, after you finish and then salt water is all mixed up u just gargle it ( WHATEVER YOU DO DONT SWALLOW!!!!! IT CAN MESS UP YOUR BODIES BALANCE OF SALT!!!! IF U DRINK IT THEN IT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS OFF BALANCE SALT LEVELS AND U MAY HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITSAL!!) But, do not worry if you swallowed a little bit. JUST DONT SWALLOW PURPOSLLY!!!!
