I learned music by ear, and have had a very hard time trying to learn how to read music and understand theory. Jenine explained how to read music very simply, and gave me step-by-step lessons on how to practice reading it until I became fluent with it. She really helped to make sense of it. She’s very patient and helpful! I highly recommend taking lessons with her!

If you’re quiet, muffled, or sloppy, the message and story of the song can get lost. Moreover, some singers don’t even recognize when they have poor diction. This is where recording yourself while singing, or getting feedback from a voice teacher, can make a huge difference.
Confidence is vital for good singing, and the shortest way to get confident about your singing is to see proof that you sing in tune. That way you can step up on stage or join a choir safe in the knowledge that your voice will be in tune and you’ll sound good when you sing.
I teach students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied violin for about 2 years, studied and play mariachi for 18 years, and studied voice for 6 years. I can teach students to read music and pursue a career in mariachi or classical music. I can also teach students how to play any of the mariachi instruments (violin, trumpet, guitarron, vihuela, guitar) and teach them how to sing, as well.

ts own individual learning style. In my lessons, I highlight important principles right from the start, such as posture, proper fingering, and rhythm training, to ensure no bad habits form that later are hard to break. As we become more confident in our playing, we transfer some of the traits contained within us. Those traits become the character and style of our “musical speech,” which will help to define us as musicians. I recommend books and provide sheet music when we start learning songs. Learning music with me has been said by many of my students as, “the most fun they have ever had playing music.”
This gets 5 stars because, for the price, no other online course can beat it. If you have a little more to spend I still suggest Singing Academy. But if budget is a real issue, you’ll get a long way with Singorama.
Even With possible pitfalls of having a private tutor, I still believe, if you find a really good tutor, and one that will work with you following the same methods as your chosen online course, then getting a tutor can supplement your online course learning in a very positive way.
Have you wished you could sing the songs you love – but thought it was impossible because you can’t sing in tune? Do your friends and family make a face when you sing in front of them? Maybe a school teacher once told you that you can’t sing or were singing “off key”. Or perhaps you just have a feeling that you have a bad singing voice…
The cost of singing lessons depends on your method of learning. For private lessons, you can expect to pay anywhere from $10 to $75 per half hour. The rate is typically based on your location and a teacher’s level of expertise.

In any type of music, there comes a time when you want to belt out a more bold and powerful voice. The trick is to get that power without having to squeeze your neck. If you squeeze your neck and you have that tension, you won’t be able to do it consistently night after night.

The 5 Point Singing System is the creation of Angela Kelman, lead singer of Farmer’s Daughter. This is a program geared towards the beginner and comes with a decent return policy. Their website lacks some of the professionalism and customer friendliness that we expect when shopping online.
I’ve been very happy with Ben – he has been very helpful and encouraging, and his playing is very nice. He knows his stuff and is happy to share his knowledge and experience. I certainly appreciate his enthusiasm for the guitar.
A lot of breathing exercises incorporate singing different sounds on pitches and working up and down the scale. Making sure you breathe from your belly and support your voice throughout the entire exercise is the key to power.

Your voice is a delicate instrument. While a pianist can practice for hours upon hours every day, singers cannot. Why? Unlike other instruments, the entire vocal apparatus is a sensitive part of your body.
Brett Manning’s SS is a great product for anyone who is looking to improve his or her vocal prowess. (Update: Make sure you read our review to learn about why you may not want to buy this product). You can read our full Review.
Their method of teaching is incomparable to others. They had broken down the basic concepts into clear and very comprehensive teaching styles, avoiding confusing technical terms that may be difficult to understand.
However, the best part of this course is the fact that you have access to real-life support. You can ask Aaron questions about anything – something you’re having trouble with, clarification on a certain concept, or whatever. It is the next best thing to actually having a vocal coach. I seriously recommend this product. You can read our full SSM review here first.
It’s an all around program that focuses on your vocal pitch, intensity, frequency and much more. The Superior Singing Method is a great program that just plain works. No wonder it has been a very sought after singing course on the internet with positive reviews from many different reviewers.
A vocal coach didn’t really seem like a good option. I wanted to be a REAL singer – someone who did this professionally. And being from a small town (read: not New York or LA) I didn’t think any of the local song coaches could take me to that level.
But doing a regular regimen of the right vocal warm ups and the right strengthening exercises on a regular basis, along with applying the knowledge part, the tips and tricks of singing, you will move quickly toward being the singer that you really want to be. And while it’s not super easy per se, it is simple. If you apply these things you will become a better singer.
Vocal strengthening exercises are designed to push your voice and increase its ability. To continue with the analogy, they would be the workout or the race, whereas the vocal warm ups are the stretch, the warm up.
Diction is how well you pronounce words while singing. It’s also known as “articulation.” In most contemporary music — especially pop, country, and rap — the lyrics are an integral part of the song. So as a singer, it’s your job to share those lyrics with your audience.
This doesn’t mean that you have to practice for long periods of time. Make shorter practice sessions strategic yet fun! Create your own silly warm-ups — try singing with “nonsense” words, or make a simple song your warm-up.
Aside from the exercises and worksheets, the great thing about the training program is that you can get additional advice from real expert vocal coaches. Whether you are stuck with a problem, or you need some enlightenment on difficult subjects, you can ask the staff questions about anything.
This online singing class will dive into the anatomy of the voice so you can understand where and how sound is made. You’ll learn how to adjust your vocal instrument so you can sing with more clarity and control. Fun singing exercises and essential warmups will reinforce all you’ve learned!
Private vocal coaching was not the road I wanted to go. I needed someone who can help me become a professional singer. You see, I live in a small and uneventful town (very unlike LA or New York). The local vocal coaches could not help me become a real singer.
I feel learning to play your favorite songs is the most important and the most fun about guitar playing. After playing songs, some of the information given (scales, chords, theory, ear-training) starts to make some since and you begin to slowly figure the guitar out.
