Your posture is a key part of singing and breath-management. I won’t get into all the details of it here, but the basic idea is to keep your chest/sternum high and intake air so that your torso expands below the ribs, on your sides near your oblique muscles, and your lower back, not necessarily just in your belly.
Pairing lessons with song can help anyone retain information more easily. Music also is fun, so much so that kids may not realize they’re actually learning while singing. Matthew Freeman, development manager of “Sing up,” a national singing project …

I take a physiological approach to singing… after all it is a physical endeavor.  The voice or larynx, despite all its complexities, is just another set of muscles that can be trained to reach its fullest potential.  The method that I teach, “The Franco/Italian Bel Canto Method” has been taught in Europe for more than 200 years and has produced the world’s greatest classical singers.  Now having said that let me assure you studying this method doesn’t mean that you have to become a classical singer.  The techniques used are designed to strengthen and improve the quality o

Here’s an extra tip: don’t throw the recordings away! Save each one, putting the song name and today’s date in the filename. Then, after a few days of practicing a song, come back and listen to one of your earlier performances. You’ll most likely be able to hear a big improvement and that will encourage you to keep at it.

I say the App is great! I hate how people are giving it one stars because it’s too “advance”. I mean, how? To me, it’s really easy actually. You press on a exercise and it gives you a task (it goes from easy to hard). If you did it great! Then you get 5, if you didn’t, you get a 1 (which s what I usually get because I suck at singing hence why I downloaded this). It even gives you tips, and tricks. I say my singing has gotten better. I would like if the graphics weren’t so 90’s looking, BUT its free lol.
