Everyone has their own voice and whether we realize it or not, nearly all of us strive to find and develop it. Whether our voice is quite literally a speaking voice, or whether it is expressed through career, lifestyle, or relationships with friends and family, chances are that we have found a vocation and endeavored to grow with and through it at some point in our lives. Our voice is the biggest part of who we are for one simple reason: it identifies our unique, individual character, and allows us to share that with the world.
Most musicians love to sing along to the songs they play on their guitar or any other instrument. Inhale slowly and suspend your breath for a second or two, then let the air out with a steady “hiss” sound. Listen to the hiss and make sure there are no bursts of air making the hiss louder or faster. Keep your exhalation steady.
Your posture is a key part of singing and breath-management. If you’re hunched over or sitting down or even just slouchy, you can potentially cut your breath support, and therefore your ability to sing well, in half. You make use of the chest voice when speaking. This voice can be used to produce a rich, full-bodies sound. Higher pitched notes are produced by the head voice, and it’s more often than not created by female singers. The middle voice acts to some extent as a bridge connecting the head voice and the chest voice. These three types of singing voices are the fundamentals of singing. You must first learn this fundamentals before you can start practicing. You should as well ensure you have a plan to follow, so that you can learn how to sing correctly.

Theory and Ear-training I feel are very important to learn when trying to understand music. It just gives you a basic mathematical way of understanding how music works. It can be very frustrating to learn and takes some time to sink in so if you don’t want to learn it then that is great. Ear-training is cool because when you start to understand it you can actually hear music and not just listen to it. You can listen to a chord progression on the radio and go home and play it and also improvise over it.
